This page will guide you through installing, using, and getting the most out of your AI-powered meeting assistant. Whether you’re joining for the first time or resuming a session, Meetia helps you stay productive, focused, and in control of your meetings.
🚀 What is Meetia?
Meetia is your AI-powered virtual meeting assistant that lives in your browser. It provides:
• Real-time transcription of meetings directly from your browser
• Live AI interaction during and after meetings: generate summaries, create tasks, and more
• Session continuation – resume your transcription session within 90 minutes of interruption
• Cross-platform compatibility – works with Zoom, Google Meet, YouTube, and more
🔧 Installation Instructions
To start using Meetia, you’ll need to install the Chrome extension and activate your account.
🔹 Install the Chrome Extension
1. Open the Meetia extension on the Chrome Web Store
2. Click "Add to Chrome"
3. Go to More > Extensions > Manage Extensions
4. Find Meetia.io and click Details
5. Enable "Pin to Toolbar" for quick access
6. You’ll now see the Meetia icon in your browser bar
✅ Meetia supports Chrome and Chromium-based browsers (e.g., Brave, Edge), but we recommend Chrome for full stability.
🧭 How to Use Meetia
🔹 Starting a New Transcription Session
1. Go to https://previewapp.meetia.io and log in
2. Click the Meetia extension icon in your browser toolbar
3. In the control panel, click Start Transcribing
4. Select the tab with your active meeting or audio source (Zoom, Google Meet, YouTube, etc.)
5. Meetia will begin transcribing your session in real time
6. Open the Meetia web app to view live transcription, interact with AI, or generate summaries
🔄 Session Continuation: Resume Where You Left Off
If your transcription session is accidentally closed or interrupted, Meetia allows you to resume the same session within 90 minutes.
🔹 How it works:
• If your browser or tab is closed, Meetia saves the current transcription state
• Reopen the same tab and the Meetia app within 90 minutes
• Click “Resume Session” in the Meetia extension
• Meetia will reconnect to your last session, and transcription will continue seamlessly
⚠️ After 90 minutes, the session will expire, and you’ll need to start a new transcription.
